FUP means Fair Use Policy. On a travel eSIM described as unlimited, the plan may include a stated amount of high-speed data per day or other period. After that allowance is used, the connection may continue at a reduced speed until the plan's stated reset time.
FUP does not always mean the eSIM is faulty
If data worked normally and then became slower after heavy use, the high-speed allowance may have been reached. Streaming, cloud backups, app updates, hotspot use, and repeated speed tests can use data quickly. Read the product description and delivery instructions because the allowance, reduced speed, and reset schedule vary by plan.
Check usage before changing settings
- Open the usage link in your EasyTripGo delivery email.
- Enter the ICCID if requested.
- Review remaining data, validity, and any daily allowance.
- Compare the timing with recent downloads, video, or hotspot activity.

What to do after the limit is reached
Reduce video quality, pause backups and updates, disable automatic media downloads, and wait for the reset stated in the plan. Do not assume the reset occurs at local midnight. Our daily data reset guide explains why timing can differ.
Do not delete the eSIM
Deleting, reinstalling, restarting, or changing the APN does not restore a used allowance. If the plan is fully exhausted rather than temporarily limited, purchase a new plan.
