On supported Xiaomi and Redmi models, the travel eSIM is often shown as SIM 2 or with the label chosen during installation. You must select that profile as the Data SIM and allow it to use roaming. Exact menu names vary between MIUI and HyperOS versions.
Confirm that your model supports eSIM
Not every phone sold under the same product name supports eSIM in every region. Confirm the exact model number and regional version. If there is no Add eSIM option, review our device compatibility checklist.
Select the EasyTripGo data line
- Open Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks.
- Make sure the travel eSIM is enabled.
- Find Data SIM, Mobile data, or Default for data.
- Select EasyTripGo, Travel, or SIM 2 instead of your home SIM.
Your home line can remain active for calls and SMS, but it should not be selected for data. Turn off automatic switching where available.
Enable roaming and app access
Open Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks → Data roaming and enable roaming for the EasyTripGo eSIM. Some Xiaomi phones also restrict roaming by app. Allow roaming for the apps you need, not only a small exception list. See why only some apps may work.
Test with Wi-Fi off
Toggle Airplane Mode for 30 seconds, turn Wi-Fi off, and load a new website. If it fails, verify the APN with our APN instructions. Do not delete the eSIM. Send your order number, exact model, location, and screenshots to official@easytripgo.com or WhatsApp.
