What Happens to an eSIM After a Motherboard Replacement?

What motherboard replacement means for a travel eSIM

A motherboard or logic-board replacement can make the repaired phone behave like a different device. The old eSIM profile may no longer be available, even if the screen, case and other parts are unchanged.

Confirm exactly what was replaced

Ask the repair center whether the main board or entire device was exchanged. Record the new IMEI and EID if they changed. Compare them with any identifiers saved before repair using our ICCID, EID and IMEI guide.

Do not repeatedly scan the old QR code

The original activation code may already belong to the old installation and may not support a second device. Repeated scans can produce confusing errors. Read why a QR code may show as already used.

Send support the repair information

Provide the order number, destination, old and new phone details, old ICCID if available, and proof that the board or device was replaced. Never send passwords or OTP codes. EasyTripGo will check the profile status before giving instructions.

Set up any approved replacement carefully

If support provides new installation details, use stable Wi-Fi and install on the repaired phone only. Select the new profile for mobile data and enable data roaming. If installation succeeds but data does not work, use the connection checklist.

If you still need help, contact EasyTripGo Support or message us on WhatsApp. Please include your order number, destination, phone model and screenshots of the relevant settings.
