Why Is My eSIM Internet Slow? Data Limits and FUP

Troubleshooting slow eSIM internet and fair use limits

Travel eSIM speed depends on local coverage, network congestion, your phone, the selected partner network, and the rules of your plan. A slower connection does not necessarily mean the eSIM is faulty.

1. Check signal and location

Move near a window or outdoors and test again. Underground stations, airports, large buildings, rural areas, and crowded events can reduce speed even when signal bars are visible.

2. Refresh the network

  1. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then off.
  2. Restart the phone.
  3. Confirm that EasyTripGo is selected for mobile data.
  4. Make sure data roaming is enabled on the travel eSIM.

3. Try another supported network

If your plan instructions list more than one partner network, turn off automatic network selection and test another listed network. Do not choose an operator that is not included in the plan. See Manual Network Selection.

4. Check remaining data and FUP

Unlimited or daily-data plans may include a Fair Use Policy (FUP). After a stated high-speed allowance is used, speed may be reduced until the plan's reset time. Allowances, reduced speeds, and reset schedules vary by product and destination, so check the product description and delivery email.

Use How to Check Your Remaining eSIM Data to confirm the plan status. If all data is exhausted, purchase a new plan.

Still slow?

Run a speed test only after disabling VPN and background downloads. Send EasyTripGo Support your order number, phone model, location, selected network, screenshot of signal strength, and speed-test result at official@easytripgo.com or WhatsApp +62 81190057586.
