Can You Use Your Primary SIM and Travel eSIM Together?

How to use a primary SIM and EasyTripGo eSIM together

On a compatible Dual SIM phone, you can usually keep your primary line active for calls and SMS while using an EasyTripGo eSIM for travel data. The two lines have separate roles.

Recommended travel configuration

  • Mobile data: EasyTripGo eSIM
  • Data roaming on EasyTripGo: On
  • Calls and SMS: Primary line, if needed
  • Data roaming on the primary line: Off
  • Automatic data switching: Off

Set up Dual SIM on iPhone

  1. Open Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data.
  2. Make sure both required lines are turned on.
  3. Tap Cellular Data and select EasyTripGo.
  4. Turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching.
  5. Open the EasyTripGo line and enable data roaming.
  6. Open the primary line and disable data roaming.

Set up Dual SIM on Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
  2. Enable both lines.
  3. Set Mobile data to EasyTripGo.
  4. Select the preferred line for calls and messages.
  5. Disable data switching and home-line data roaming where available.

Set up Dual SIM on Google Pixel

Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs. Enable both lines, choose EasyTripGo for mobile data and turn off automatic data switching. Menu names can vary by Android version.

Important limitations

Most phones use only one cellular-data line at a time. A carrier call on the other line may temporarily interrupt EasyTripGo data. Read why eSIM data can stop during a Dual SIM call.
