Why Does Your eSIM Show a Different Carrier Name?

How to identify an EasyTripGo eSIM showing a partner carrier name

A travel eSIM does not always display the seller's brand name. Your phone may show the name of a local mobile operator, a roaming partner, or a technical profile provider instead of EasyTripGo. This is usually normal.

Why the name can be different

EasyTripGo travel eSIMs use partner mobile networks at the destination. The label shown by your phone can come from the eSIM profile or the network currently serving the device. It does not necessarily mean that the wrong eSIM was installed.

How to identify the correct eSIM

  1. Open Settings and go to Cellular, SIM Manager, SIMs, or Mobile Networks.
  2. Look for the line installed at the time you added the EasyTripGo eSIM.
  3. Compare its ICCID with the details in your delivery email when available.
  4. Check whether that line is selected for mobile data.
  5. Rename it to EasyTripGo or Travel eSIM for easier identification.

You can follow our guide to rename your travel eSIM line.

Check the network connection

Keep the EasyTripGo line switched on and enable data roaming for it. Automatic network selection normally chooses an available partner. If it does not connect, compare the network names with your plan instructions and try a supported operator using our manual network selection guide.

When to be cautious

If an unfamiliar profile was already on the phone before your EasyTripGo installation, do not delete it until you know what it is. It may belong to your primary carrier, an old travel plan, or another service. Deleting an eSIM can be irreversible.

If you cannot identify the profile, send EasyTripGo Support your order number, phone model, destination, and a screenshot of the SIM list. You can email official@easytripgo.com or message us on WhatsApp.
