How to Rename Your Travel eSIM Line

How to rename a travel eSIM line for easier identification

Phones may label a newly installed eSIM as Secondary, Business, Travel, SIM 2 or by the partner network name. Renaming it to EasyTripGo or Travel Data makes the correct line easier to identify.

Why renaming the eSIM helps

  • It reduces the chance of selecting your home SIM for mobile data.
  • It makes roaming and APN settings easier to check.
  • It helps you identify the correct line in screenshots sent to support.
  • It does not change the plan, network, validity or ICCID.

Rename the line on iPhone

  1. Open Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data.
  2. Tap the newly installed eSIM.
  3. Tap Cellular Plan Label.
  4. Select an existing label or enter EasyTripGo or Travel Data.

Rename the line on Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
  2. Tap the EasyTripGo eSIM.
  3. Choose the name or icon option.
  4. Enter a clear name and save it.

Rename the line on Google Pixel or another Android phone

  1. Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs.
  2. Select the installed travel eSIM.
  3. Tap the edit icon, SIM name or label option.
  4. Enter your preferred name and save.

Menu wording varies by manufacturer and software version. If the name cannot be edited, use the ICCID, SIM position or current network name to identify the line.

Complete the travel setup

After renaming, select the EasyTripGo line for mobile data, enable data roaming on that line and keep mobile-data roaming off on your home SIM. See how to select the correct eSIM for mobile data.
