Installing a travel eSIM does not normally replace or change the number on your existing mobile line. It adds another profile. Most EasyTripGo plans are data-only and may not display their own usable phone number.

Keep your existing number

Leave the primary line enabled if you need its calls or SMS. Select EasyTripGo only for mobile data. Your home carrier’s charges still apply to activity on the primary line.

Set clear line roles

Assign the travel eSIM to data and the home line to calls or messages where appropriate. Disable data roaming on the home line and turn off automatic data switching.

WhatsApp and messaging apps

WhatsApp normally remains registered to its existing number when you add another data line. Do not choose Change Number unless you intentionally want to change the account. See our WhatsApp guide.

Understand missing numbers and OTPs

A blank or unknown number on the travel profile can be normal. Read why no number appears and how to keep receiving OTP messages. Do not delete the eSIM to create a number.
