Can Someone Else Use My eSIM QR Code?

Can someone else use your eSIM QR code? Security checklist

An eSIM QR code contains installation information for a mobile profile, so it should be treated as private. Whether another device can use it depends on the profile status, provider rules and whether the code has already been installed.

Do not share the QR code

Do not publish screenshots, forward the email or send the code in public chats. Only scan it on the compatible phone where you intend to use the plan. Check our eSIM basics guide if you are unfamiliar with digital SIM profiles.

Many codes are single-use

Many eSIM QR codes can be installed only once. After a successful installation, rescanning may show that the activation code is already used. This does not necessarily mean the plan has disappeared; check the phone's SIM manager and read “activation code already used”.

If someone has seen it

Remove any public copy immediately and preserve your order confirmation. Do not repeatedly scan the code on several devices. If an EasyTripGo profile is already installed, do not delete it while troubleshooting.

Ask support to check the status

Contact us with the order number and, if available, the ICCID shown in the installed profile. Our ICCID, EID and IMEI guide shows where to find these identifiers. We can check the profile before advising whether another QR code is necessary.

If you still need help, contact EasyTripGo Support or message us on WhatsApp. Please include your order number, destination, phone model and screenshots of the relevant settings.
