For a week in Morocco, build your data budget from what you actually do on your phone. As a planning starting point—not a measured average—consider 3–5GB for light use with frequent Wi-Fi, 10GB for more flexibility, and 20GB or more for heavier sharing or uploads. Streaming and laptop use can exceed any of these allowances.
EasyTripGo lets you choose Orange Morocco or Maroc Telecom. Both offer fixed-data plans and unlimited plans with daily fair usage. You can compare Morocco eSIM plans before deciding.
A Simple Seven-Day Data Budget
Check your phone's mobile-data history for a comparable week. Separate essentials such as messages and navigation from optional use such as social video, cloud backups and streaming. Add a buffer for travel days when Wi-Fi is unavailable.
| Your own estimated daily use | Seven-day arithmetic | Planning implication |
|---|---|---|
| 0.3GB | 2.1GB | 3GB leaves limited headroom; 5GB adds a buffer |
| 1GB | 7GB | 10GB offers room for uneven days |
| 2GB | 14GB | Consider 20GB and monitor consumption |
These are hypothetical calculations, not promises about app consumption. Two travelers who both use “maps and social media” may use very different amounts because video quality, uploads and background activity differ.

Is Unlimited Better Than 10GB?
Unlimited means 1GB of high-speed data per day, followed by unlimited data at up to 5Mbps. The high-speed allowance resets daily. This is not unlimited full-speed data. Actual speeds depend on signal, congestion and your device; 5Mbps is a limit, not a guaranteed minimum. Check the supplied instructions or ask support for the exact reset time rather than assuming midnight in your phone's time zone.
For example, if you use 2GB on one day of an unlimited plan, the first 1GB is within that day's high-speed portion and the remainder is subject to the reduced-speed limit. A fixed 10GB plan is a total allowance rather than the unlimited plan's daily 1GB structure. Actual connection speed still varies on either type.
Unlimited may suit someone who prioritizes continued access and accepts the speed limit after daily high-speed use. It is not automatically the best-value option for someone using only a few gigabytes during the entire trip. Heavy uploads or sustained work calls need more careful planning than the “unlimited” label alone suggests.
Your Seven Days Start at Installation
Important: EasyTripGo Morocco eSIM plans start counting from installation, not from your first connection in Morocco. The 90-day activation window after purchase is separate from your selected plan duration. Install when you are ready for that duration to begin.
If you install two days before arriving, part of a seven-day plan's duration will already have elapsed when you land. Buying ahead and installing ahead are different actions. Plan installation around when you need the service period to begin, and confirm the displayed expiry information after setup.
For an eight-day journey, do not assume a seven-day option covers the whole trip. Choose a longer duration if needed. Flight delays and late departures are reasons to leave practical headroom.
What Changes the Budget Most?
- Video: autoplay and higher streaming quality can use substantial data.
- Photo backups: postpone automatic cloud uploads until suitable Wi-Fi is available.
- Hotspot: a laptop can download updates or sync files in the background.
- Shared use: one hotspot allowance is shared by the host phone and connected devices.
- Offline preparation: save maps, tickets and accommodation details before leaving Wi-Fi.
Make a small daily check of your phone's usage instead of waiting for the allowance to run low. Phone counters may differ from provider accounting; use the supplied plan information for the definitive balance where available.
Two Travelers: One Hotspot or Two eSIMs?
Hotspot is supported, so one person can share data while the devices remain nearby. Separate eSIMs are more convenient when you split up, take different excursions or want independent connectivity. Sharing does not create a separate daily high-speed quota for each person.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 3GB enough for seven days?
It can be enough for a light user who relies on Wi-Fi and avoids video, but it is not a universal recommendation. Estimate your own usage and leave a buffer.
Does 10GB / 7 days mean 10GB daily?
No. It is 10GB total for the selected service period.
Does unlimited include a Moroccan number?
No. EasyTripGo's Morocco plans are data-only and do not include a phone number.
What if I need more data?
You can buy a new plan. If unsure whether the issue is your allowance, expiry or setup, contact EasyTripGo on WhatsApp before purchasing again.
