Middle East eSIM Installation and Hotspot Guide

Install your Middle East eSIM when you are ready for its validity to start—not weeks in advance simply because you have received the email. For this EasyTripGo plan, installation starts the selected travel-day period. The separate 90-day window is the deadline to install after purchase.

The Middle East eSIM for 18 Countries supports hotspot sharing, is data only and does not require a passport upload. The steps below help you prepare, connect and avoid using plan days before you need them.

Before you install

  • Check every destination against the 18-destination coverage list.
  • Verify eSIM support for your exact phone model and regional version, and that it can use another provider.
  • Have a reliable internet connection available for setup.
  • Keep the order email, QR code and any supplied setup details accessible.
  • Allow enough validity from the moment of installation through your final required day.

For iPhone, Apple explains how to check carrier-lock status under Settings → General → About in its international eSIM travel guide. Do not assume that every phone sold under the same model family has identical eSIM support.

Installing with your order's QR code

Follow the EasyTripGo instructions supplied with your order. On iPhone, Apple's eSIM setup guide describes scanning a provider's QR code and following the onscreen steps to add the plan. Keep a second screen available if that makes the QR code easier to scan. Use manual setup details only if they were provided for your order.

Android menu names vary by manufacturer and software version. Use your device manufacturer's eSIM instructions and the order details rather than assuming the iPhone menu path will apply.

Give the installed line a clear label, such as “Middle East Travel,” so you can distinguish it from your home line. Remember that the plan's clock has now started; delaying your first browsing session does not defer that start.

Connecting at a covered destination

Enable the travel eSIM and choose it as the mobile-data line. Follow the order's directions for data roaming and any APN settings. If the travel profile needs roaming enabled, apply that setting to the travel line—not indiscriminately to every SIM in the phone.

Review the home line's settings separately. Prevent unwanted home-line data use and check any automatic data-switching options. Home-carrier calls and messages can have separate charges even when you mainly use travel data.

Sharing your connection with hotspot

Hotspot and tethering are supported by this plan. Once mobile data works on the phone, open its hotspot settings, set a strong password and connect your other device. Device-specific menu names and hotspot behaviour can vary.

All connected devices share the same data allowance. On Unlimited, the daily high-speed portion is 1GB for the plan—not 1GB for each connected device. After that, the connection continues at up to 5Mbps until the daily reset, and connected devices share the available speed.

Pause laptop updates, photo backups and large downloads when appropriate. If consistent high throughput is essential, make a backup connectivity plan rather than depending on the maximum advertised speed.

If mobile data or hotspot does not work

  1. Confirm that you are in a listed destination and the plan has remaining validity and data.
  2. Check that the installed travel line is enabled and selected for mobile data.
  3. Compare roaming and APN settings with your order instructions.
  4. Try restarting the phone and test mobile data directly before testing hotspot.
  5. Contact support with the order reference, device model, destination and a description of the issue.

Do not delete the eSIM as your first troubleshooting step. Keep QR codes and account details private. This plan does not require a passport upload, so do not post passport images in public support threads.

Frequently asked questions

Can I scan the code before departure?

Yes, but installation starts the selected plan duration. Choose the timing with that in mind rather than expecting the clock to start on arrival.

What happens after the daily 1GB?

On Unlimited, data continues at up to 5Mbps until the daily allowance resets. Actual speed can be lower; this policy does not apply as a daily renewal to fixed-data plans.

Will I receive a local number?

No. This is a data-only plan, with no included local number, SMS or traditional voice minutes.
