Turn your usage into a rough budget
Divide the fixed allowance by 15 to understand the daily average you would need to stay near. A 3GB plan averages about 0.2GB per day; 5GB about 0.33GB; 10GB about 0.67GB; and 20GB about 1.33GB. These are budgeting averages, not daily limits imposed on fixed-data plans.
- Light use: messages, checking bookings and occasional navigation, with downloads and updates left to Wi-Fi. Consider 3GB or 5GB only if your own recent usage supports that budget.

At the prices checked above, 15-day fixed 10GB is US$27.38 and Unlimited is US$123.93. That difference matters if you would use substantially less than 10GB. Do not lose days before departure
The plan starts counting when installed. Install within 90 days of purchase, and select a duration that covers the time from installation through your last required day. If you install before departure, include that time in your calculation. Do not assume a new country or a day without usage pauses the clock.
Hotspot use shares the same allowance
Hotspot sharing is supported. Your laptop or a companion's connected device draws from the same plan, not a separate quota. On Unlimited, sharing can bring you to the daily 1GB threshold sooner, and the available capped connection is shared after that. Pause automatic backups and large updates on connected devices.
