The right Africa eSIM is the one that covers every destination on your itinerary, with data and timing rules that suit your trip. EasyTripGo offers three regional options. Their country lists overlap, but they are not a simple upgrade ladder: the 29-destination plan does not include every destination in the smaller plans.
Start with your actual stops, including any stopover where you want mobile data outside Wi-Fi. Then compare the plans that cover those stops. Paying for a longer country list is not useful if it omits a destination you need.
Compare the three Africa eSIM options
- Africa eSIM for 15 destinations — check the current destination list and select your data allowance and duration.
- Africa eSIM for 21 destinations — check the current destination list and select your data allowance and duration.
- Africa eSIM for 29 destinations — check the current destination list and select your data allowance and duration.
Choose by itinerary, not destination count
| Example destination combination | Matching coverage among these plans |
|---|---|
| Cameroon + Kenya | 15-destination plan |
| Seychelles + Zimbabwe | 21-destination plan |
| South Africa + Mauritius | 15- or 29-destination plan |
| Botswana + South Africa | 29-destination plan |
| Kenya + Tanzania | All three; compare price and listed networks |
These examples compare product coverage only; they are not suggested travel routes. Cameroon is included in the 15-destination option but not the other two. Seychelles and Zimbabwe are included in the 21-destination option but not the 29-destination option. South Africa is included in the 15- and 29-destination options, not the 21-destination option.
For the complete breakdown, use the Africa eSIM coverage table. Treat countries not listed for your chosen product as unsupported unless EasyTripGo confirms otherwise.
Fixed data or Unlimited?
A fixed-data plan gives you a stated total allowance for the selected duration. It can suit travellers who mainly use messaging, maps and occasional browsing, especially when accommodation Wi-Fi handles larger downloads. Match the total allowance to your expected use rather than assuming it renews each day.
Unlimited works differently: you receive 1GB of high-speed data each day, followed by continued data at up to 5Mbps until the daily reset. It can suit travellers who value continued access after their daily high-speed allowance is used, but it does not promise unrestricted speed. Actual performance also depends on signal, network load and device compatibility.
For a two-week trip, compare actual variant prices in our 15-day Africa eSIM guide. Unlimited is not automatically the lowest-cost choice.
Plan rules to know before buying
- Unlimited: 1GB of high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps. The high-speed allowance resets daily. This is not unlimited full-speed data.
- Installation window: install within 90 days of purchase.
- Validity: the selected plan duration starts at installation, not on arrival or first data use.
- Hotspot: supported on compatible devices; connected devices share the same plan allowance.
- Service: data only, with no phone number or included conventional calls and SMS.
Prepare before travelling
Check that your exact phone model supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Buy ahead if convenient, but do not install weeks early: installation starts your paid travel days. You can scan before departure if you intentionally include that time in the selected duration. Keep access to the installation instructions and a reliable internet connection for setup.
Country-level inclusion is not a promise of reception on every road, at every lodge or throughout a remote area. Download essential information before leaving connectivity and allow time for the phone to register on a supported network after crossing a border.
Frequently asked questions
Does one Africa eSIM work across all of Africa?
No. Each plan works only in its listed destinations. Check the exact product before paying.
Does a border crossing restart my plan?
No. Changing countries does not create a new validity period or a new daily high-speed allowance.
Which plan is best for South Africa?
Among these regional options, compare the 15- and 29-destination plans against your other stops. The 21-destination plan does not list South Africa.
