How much data should you choose?
Estimate use across the whole trip. For illustration, 3GB spread evenly across 15 days is about 0.2GB a day, 5GB is about 0.33GB, and 10GB is about 0.67GB. These are planning averages, not daily limits or guaranteed usage amounts. App updates, automatic photo backups, video and laptop traffic can change your needs substantially.
Choose fixed data if you prefer a total allowance you can distribute across your trip. For example, a quiet travel day need not consume the same amount as a day of navigation and photo sharing. The listed fixed allowance is not replenished daily.
Choose Unlimited if continued data after a daily high-speed threshold is more important than the lowest upfront cost. A 15-day trip can need more than a 15-day plan
The relevant window runs from installation until your last required day of service. If you install several days before a 15-day stay, the 15-day option may expire before your trip ends. Install closer to use or choose a longer available duration that covers the full window. Check the expiry shown in your plan details rather than assuming the plan runs until midnight on departure day.
Plan durations do not pause while you use hotel Wi-Fi, turn the eSIM off or travel outside its supported destinations. Sharing a hotspot also uses the same data allowance; it does not give each connected device its own daily 1GB.
