Why Is Your eSIM Upload Speed Slower Than Download?

Troubleshooting slower upload than download speed on a travel eSIM

It is common for mobile upload speed to be lower than download speed. Networks often provide more capacity for downloading because most everyday activity involves receiving pages, video, and files. Weak signal, congestion, network technology, and the local operator can widen the difference.

Why upload speed matters

Uploads are used when sending photos and videos, backing up files, posting content, sharing your screen, and transmitting your camera during a video call. A fast download result does not guarantee smooth performance for these tasks.

Check for background uploads

Pause photo sync, cloud backup, operating-system updates, and large message attachments. Competing uploads can slow the task you are watching and consume a travel data allowance quickly. Review our guide to stopping automatic data use.

Improve the connection

  1. Move outdoors or near a window.
  2. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then reconnect.
  3. Try LTE or 4G if 5G is unstable.
  4. Disconnect VPN temporarily for a comparison.
  5. Try another supported partner network.
  6. Keep the phone cool and stationary during a large upload.

Run only one speed test if you need evidence because tests use real data. Read how to test without wasting data and why performance changes by location.

When to ask for help

If uploads repeatedly fail while ordinary mobile data works, do not delete the eSIM. Send the order number, exact location, phone model, selected operator, time of test, and one screenshot to official@easytripgo.com or WhatsApp. Performance cannot be guaranteed at every place or time because local radio conditions change.
