Can I Transfer My eSIM to a New Phone?

What to do before moving an eSIM to a new phone

Do not assume that a travel eSIM can be moved to a new phone. Although some phone manufacturers offer eSIM-transfer tools for supported carrier plans, many travel eSIM profiles are designed for one installation and the original QR code may not work again.

Before changing phones

  1. Keep the EasyTripGo eSIM installed on the original phone.
  2. Do not delete or erase the profile.
  3. Do not scan the same QR code on the new phone.
  4. Save your order number, ICCID, and both phone model numbers.
  5. Contact EasyTripGo Support for a profile-status check.

Why manufacturer transfer tools may not apply

Apple, Samsung, and Google offer transfer features for participating carriers and supported plans. Availability depends on the provider, device models, software, and country. A button labeled “Transfer eSIM” does not guarantee that a specific travel eSIM is eligible.

If the old phone is lost or damaged

Contact support before ordering again. Send the order number, purchaser email, old and new phone models, destination, and travel dates. We will check the plan and can provide a replacement QR code when appropriate.

If you have not installed the eSIM yet

Install it directly on the phone you plan to carry. Confirm that the new phone supports eSIM and is carrier unlocked before scanning. See eSIM Compatible Phones.
