eSIM Not Provisioned Error: What It Means and What to Do

Steps to troubleshoot an eSIM not provisioned message

An eSIM not provisioned or SIM not provisioned message means the phone does not see normal service for that profile or service type. The exact meaning depends on the device and wording.

Check whether the notice mentions voice

If the message specifically says not provisioned for voice, remember that most EasyTripGo travel plans are data-only. They do not include a standard phone number or carrier voice calls. Turn Wi-Fi off and test mobile internet. If data works, a voice-related notice does not necessarily mean the data plan has failed.

If mobile data does not work

  1. Confirm the eSIM profile appears in SIM Manager or Cellular settings.
  2. Turn the EasyTripGo line on.
  3. Select it for mobile data.
  4. Enable data roaming for that eSIM.
  5. Confirm you are in a country covered by the plan.
  6. Check remaining data and validity.

Refresh the connection

Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, turn it off, and restart the phone. Leave network selection on Automatic for several minutes. If necessary, try a supported partner manually. Do not choose an unrelated network merely because it appears in the list.

Do not reinstall without checking

Deleting and rescanning can make a one-time profile unusable. If the eSIM is installed but cannot register, keep it on the phone and collect the error, ICCID, location, phone model, and visible networks. See our profile-not-showing guide if the eSIM is absent from the SIM list.
