Your phone may show LTE or 4G even when it supports 5G. The displayed network depends on the purchased plan, destination, partner operator, device bands, signal conditions, and local network availability.
1. Confirm the plan includes 5G
Check the EasyTripGo product page and delivery email. If the plan is listed as 4G/LTE, the phone cannot force 5G access. If it includes 5G, coverage is still not guaranteed in every location.
2. Check the preferred network type
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → EasyTripGo line → Voice & Data → choose 5G Auto or 5G On when available.
- Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Network mode → choose an option that includes 5G.
- Pixel: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → EasyTripGo → Preferred network type → 5G when available.
Menu names can vary by model and carrier. If the 5G option is absent, check the exact device version and software updates.
3. Test coverage
Move outdoors or to another part of the city, turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then restart the phone. Dense buildings, transport hubs, rural areas, and network congestion can make the device use LTE even inside a 5G coverage area.
4. Do you need to fix LTE?
If LTE or 4G provides a stable connection, no change may be necessary. Phones automatically fall back to the best available supported network. Speed is also affected by congestion and any Fair Use Policy; see Why Is My eSIM Internet Slow?.
