eSIM support depends on the exact model number, sales region, carrier version, and software—not only the phone family name. Two phones with the same marketing name may have different capabilities.
Find the exact model
Open the device information screen and record the complete model number. Compare it with the manufacturer specification for the country where the phone was sold. Do not rely only on a marketplace title.
Look for the installation menu
On iPhone, check Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data → Add eSIM. On Android, search Settings for Add eSIM, Download SIM, SIM Manager, or Mobile network. Menu names vary by brand.
Check EID and carrier lock
An EID can help identify eSIM capability, while a carrier lock can still block another provider. Use our ICCID, EID, and IMEI guide and unlock checklist.
If Add eSIM is missing
Update the software and confirm the regional specification. Do not repeatedly reset or erase the phone. Follow our No Add eSIM troubleshooting guide before purchasing or installing.
