EasyTripGo's Thailand eSIM supports AIS and Truemove, but your itinerary determines what coverage questions to ask. Check the actual hotel, transfer route and activity location—not just the city or island name. A Bangkok indoor venue, a Chiang Mai mountain trip and a boat journey require different preparation.
This article is a planning checklist, not a field-tested signal report. We have not measured coverage at every destination below. The Thailand eSIM offers 5G where supported and available, with 4G/LTE as applicable; actual service depends on your device, profile and local conditions.
AIS and Truemove: supported networks, not a speed guarantee
Both networks are supported for this travel product. That does not mean the phone connects to both simultaneously, always selects the fastest network, or can register on every network shown in a manual scan. Begin with the supplied settings and automatic selection unless instructed otherwise.
Consult AIS's official 5G information and True's official network information for operator-level context. Retail-network marketing does not establish the exact features or performance of a particular travel eSIM. Ask support about your route if connectivity is critical.
Check coverage by destination and activity
| Destination or situation | What to check | Useful backup |
|---|---|---|
| Bangkok | Your hotel, indoor venue and transport pickup location | Save hotel addresses and reservations |
| Chiang Mai | The city stay separately from mountain or rural excursions | Download maps and tour meeting details |
| Phuket | Your accommodation, planned beaches and onward trips | Keep transfer arrangements offline |
| Krabi and island visits | The specific resort, activity route and ferry journey | Save return details before departure |
| Remote roads, mountains or offshore travel | Local communication arrangements for that activity | Do not rely solely on a travel eSIM for safety |
Bangkok: check indoors as well as outdoors
A covered neighborhood does not prove the same reception inside a hotel room, basement or large shopping complex. If data is important for a meeting, test the connection at the intended location rather than relying only on a national coverage statement.
Save a map pin or address before traveling to a pickup point. If a page loads slowly, check your selected data line and allowance before concluding the network is unavailable. A 5G icon does not guarantee a particular download speed.
Chiang Mai: separate the city from excursions
A city itinerary and a trip into hills or rural areas should be checked separately. Give support the actual accommodation or route name rather than asking only whether Chiang Mai is covered. Tour staff can also explain the communication arrangements used during their activities.
Download maps where your app supports them and keep meeting instructions accessible offline. That preparation is useful even when you expect mobile service; it is not a claim that a specific trail has or lacks signal.
Phuket, Krabi and island travel
For a beach holiday, identify the exact resort and excursions you plan to take. Do not infer reception on every nearby island or across open water from service in a coastal town. A land-based coverage statement is not a guarantee for a boat route.
Before an excursion, save departure and return arrangements and ask the operator how guests communicate if plans change. If you require reliable work connectivity, test at your accommodation and keep a suitable alternative; no travel eSIM can promise uninterrupted service for every location.
Coverage problems and fair-use limits are different
Daily Unlimited includes 1GB high-speed each day. After that, data continues at up to 5Mbps until reset. Slower service after that threshold may be the plan's cap rather than weak coverage. Conversely, buying more data does not improve a location with no usable connection.
Hotspot use shares the same allowance and connection across devices. Check whether a laptop is downloading updates or uploading files. Ask support for the daily reset schedule if you need to distinguish a speed cap from another issue.
Prepare for the timing and number rules
Activate within 90 days of purchase. The selected duration starts at installation, not your first connection in Thailand. If installing before a flight, include that time in the duration you buy.
The service is data-only with no phone number or standard calls/SMS bundle. Arrange number-based communication separately if your plans require it. Check another product's destination list for any cross-border travel.
Frequently asked questions
Can I manually switch between AIS and Truemove?
Available network registration depends on the profile and location. Use automatic selection first and ask support before changing settings; a visible network is not necessarily selectable.
What should I send support if data fails?
Send your order reference, exact location, phone model and relevant error or settings screenshot. Keep activation QR codes private and do not delete the profile before getting advice.
