An eSIM is a digital SIM profile downloaded to a compatible device. How do you install an eSIM?

Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting. Many QR codes are designed for one installation and might not work again after the profile is removed. Contact support first if you have a problem.

Do you need Wi-Fi to install an eSIM?

Usually, yes. The phone needs internet access to download the profile. Use stable Wi-Fi or another working mobile connection. After installation, the travel eSIM uses cellular data when it connects to a supported network.

Can an eSIM use 4G or 5G?

Yes, when the plan, destination network and device support it. An eSIM does not create faster coverage by itself. It uses the technology available from the partner network, so the connection may move between 5G, 4G and LTE as you travel.

What is FUP on an Unlimited eSIM?

“Unlimited” does not always mean unlimited full-speed data. Many plans include a daily high-speed allowance and then continue at a reduced maximum speed until the daily reset. The exact allowance and reduced speed differ by product.
