Install your Singapore eSIM when you are ready for its service clock to start. EasyTripGo's plan duration begins at installation, not the first time you connect after arrival. Hotspot is supported, but your phone and connected devices share one allowance and connection.
This guide is for the EasyTripGo Singapore eSIM with StarHub and M1 support. Follow the instructions in your order for profile-specific settings. The service is data-only, without a phone number or standard voice/SMS bundle.
Understand the three clocks
| Timing rule | How to use it |
|---|---|
| 90 days after purchase | Activate within this window; it is not 90 days of included data service |
| Selected service duration | Starts at installation, including any time before arrival |
| Unlimited daily reset | 1GB high-speed per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps until the daily reset; confirm the reset time if needed |
You can install before departure, but account for the flight and any waiting time when choosing your duration. Preparing instructions and checking compatibility does not require installing early. Do not assume switching the eSIM off pauses the plan.
Prepare your phone and installation details
- Confirm that the exact device model and regional version supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked.
- Arrange a reliable internet connection for downloading the eSIM profile.
- Keep the order email accessible; use another screen for the QR code if that is your chosen setup method.
- Keep QR and activation details private.
- Plan the installation time and verify that the chosen duration covers your final day.
For iPhone, consult Apple's official eSIM setup instructions. Android menu names depend on the manufacturer and model. Use your phone's supported method and the order instructions rather than assuming every device supports the same shortcuts.
Install the Singapore eSIM
- Connect to reliable Wi-Fi or another working internet connection.
- Open the phone's mobile network or SIM settings and choose Add eSIM.
- Scan the supplied QR code, or use an alternative method if supported in your order instructions.
- Complete the setup prompts. This installation starts the selected service duration.
- Label the line clearly, for example Singapore Travel.
- When using it in Singapore, enable the travel line and select it for mobile data.
- Enable data roaming on that travel line as instructed, while disabling unwanted home-line data roaming and automatic data switching.
Start with automatic network selection unless the supplied instructions say otherwise. 5G depends on device, service and local coverage; the connection can use 4G/LTE instead. Do not change unrelated network settings or copy an APN from an unrelated product.
Test before you leave your internet backup
Temporarily turn Wi-Fi off and open a simple webpage through the travel line. If it fails, reconnect to Wi-Fi and check settings before leaving that connection. At Changi Airport, the official airport Wi-Fi instructions can help you get online to retrieve your order details. Availability of Wi-Fi does not establish that the eSIM is configured correctly.
Share the connection through hotspot
- First confirm that mobile data works on the host phone without Wi-Fi.
- Open Personal Hotspot on iPhone or hotspot/tethering settings on Android.
- Set a strong password and enable sharing.
- Connect the second device to the phone's Wi-Fi hotspot.
- Turn sharing off when finished and monitor battery and data usage.
A fixed 10GB plan shares that same 10GB across phone and hotspot traffic. Daily Unlimited shares its 1GB high-speed allowance across all usage; after the threshold, connected devices share a connection capped at up to 5Mbps until the daily reset. Each device does not receive a separate 1GB allowance.
Before connecting a laptop, pause unnecessary updates, cloud backups and large downloads. If two travelers plan to split up, a single hotspot will not keep both online independently: the devices must remain within hotspot range and the host phone must stay connected and powered.
Keep home-number costs separate
Keeping your home SIM enabled can preserve access to your existing number on a compatible setup, but it may involve home-carrier charges. Turning off home data roaming does not by itself rule out voice, SMS or Wi-Fi calling charges. Check those terms separately if you need bank texts or ordinary calls.
If something is not working
- No data: check enabled line, selected mobile-data source and the supplied roaming/APN settings.
- Slow data: check remaining allowance, daily fair-use threshold, expiry and local conditions.
- Hotspot without internet: test data on the host phone first, then reconnect the other device.
- Installation error: retain the profile and contact support before deleting it or repeatedly scanning the code.

Frequently asked questions
Can I extend the current plan?
Do not assume top-up or extension is available. Purchase a new plan when you need more service and follow its own installation instructions.
Does the travel eSIM supply a Singapore number?
No. Use internet messaging or calling apps over data, and arrange ordinary calls/SMS separately if required.
