Set up your Mongolia eSIM while you have a reliable internet connection and enough time to follow the instructions. The key timing rule is that the selected plan duration starts at installation, not when you first browse in Mongolia or reach a covered area.
Prepare your phone
Check that your exact device model supports eSIM and is not locked to another carrier. Keep the order email and supplied setup instructions accessible. If your itinerary quickly leaves Ulaanbaatar or another populated location, prepare your documents before that departure rather than depending on a connection later.
The EasyTripGo Mongolia eSIM must be installed within 90 days of purchase. You may install before your trip, but that time counts toward validity. Buying in advance does not require installing immediately.
Install and select the data line
Use your phone's add-eSIM process and the installation method supplied with your order. Menu labels vary by phone and software version. Name the line clearly, for example Mongolia Travel, so you can distinguish it from your home SIM.
When you need data in Mongolia, select the travel eSIM for mobile data and apply the settings specified in your instructions. Do not invent APN settings or copy unrelated values from another plan. Check whether automatic data switching could use your home line unintentionally.
Your home carrier's charges still apply to any activity on that line. Leaving it active for an existing number is a separate choice from using the travel eSIM for data.
Test in a covered location
Open a small web page or send a message, then save the next address, pickup instructions and itinerary locally. MobiCom is the listed network. Coverage is generally stronger in Ulaanbaatar and populated areas, but actual reception and speeds depend on local conditions and your device.
A connection loss after leaving town is not automatically an installation fault. The product warns that remote regions may have no service. Keep the profile installed while checking the situation against your route and instructions.
Share hotspot data
Hotspot and tethering are supported. Once mobile data works, enable the phone's hotspot with a strong password and connect the other device. All devices share the plan allowance and available connection. Hotspot does not extend mobile coverage or create an extra quota.
Daily Unlimited provides 1GB of high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps. The allowance resets daily, but an exact reset hour is not stated here. Fixed plans instead provide the selected total allowance during validity. Limit background updates and backups whichever option you choose.
Know what data only excludes
No telephone number, traditional calls or SMS are included. Existing messaging accounts can use the connection, but this plan cannot receive verification messages on a new Mongolian number. Keep any necessary calling or account-verification arrangements separate.
Get help without deleting the profile
