A ger-camp stay does not tell you, by itself, what internet access will be available. Camps can have different locations and facilities, so ask specific questions before assuming that a Mongolia eSIM, camp Wi-Fi or a laptop hotspot will work throughout your stay.
Ask about the exact camp
Request the name and location of each overnight stop from your host or tour provider. Ask whether MobiCom reception is currently usable there, where it tends to work and whether their answer applies inside the accommodation or only in a particular shared area. This guide has not independently tested individual camps.
The EasyTripGo Mongolia eSIM lists MobiCom. The product cautions that remote countryside, grassland, desert and mountain regions may have weak or no service. Do not infer coverage from the fact that a place accepts online reservations.
Separate Wi-Fi from mobile reception
If a camp advertises Wi-Fi, ask where it is available, whether access is limited and what it can realistically support. Camp internet is not the same service as your eSIM. Conversely, the absence of camp Wi-Fi does not prove mobile service is available as a replacement.
For an important work task, ask detailed questions and have a fallback plan. Avoid scheduling a time-critical video call on the assumption that either connection will be reliable. The availability of a hotspot function on your phone is not a performance guarantee.
Confirm charging arrangements
Ask where and when devices can be charged and whether you need any specific equipment. Do not assume every camp provides the same power arrangements. Charge before departure and keep essential information accessible without repeatedly refreshing online services.
If you use hotspot, include the phone's battery and the other device's power needs in your planning. Turn sharing off when it is not needed. A phone with downloaded details is still useful offline, provided it has enough charge to open them.
Choose data for your connected time
Fixed data gives you the selected total allowance during the plan's validity. Daily Unlimited gives 1GB of high-speed data per day, followed by unlimited data at up to 5Mbps, with daily reset. The exact reset hour is not specified here. More allowance will not create coverage at an unserved camp.
Hotspot devices share the same quota. Pause cloud photo backups and laptop updates if you want to reserve data for messages and travel details when service is available. You can leave larger transfers until you have a suitable connection.
Prepare for arrival without messaging

Remember the plan's limits
Install within 90 days of purchase; validity begins at installation, even if you are not yet using data. Do not assume nights without service pause the clock. The eSIM is data only, with no phone number, traditional calls or SMS. Confirm a separate arrangement if a host needs to contact you by ordinary telephone.
