The no-KYC statement above applies specifically to Hong Kong and Taiwan on the 28-destination product. It is not a blanket statement about every destination or every eSIM. Do not transfer the 12-destination product's network list, Unlimited limits, activation window, hotspot rules or installation timing to the 28-destination product; confirm the selected product's terms with support where not stated.
Include verification and route coverage in the comparison
If you want a regional product for Hong Kong and Taiwan without passport-based KYC on those stops, compare the 28-destination option with your other choices. If you also visit Singapore, account for its exclusion from that product before choosing. Compare the whole-trip cost and the actual terms of each plan, rather than assuming that more destinations or fewer setup steps always means better value.

For a multi-stop Asia trip, compare three approaches: one regional eSIM, separate destination-specific SIMs or eSIMs, and international roaming on your home line. There is no universal winner. Your route, need for a phone number, data habits and willingness to manage setup determine the best fit.

When the regional plan may fit
The current Asia eSIM includes Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. If all your stops are included, you can use the same profile through those parts of the trip. This can simplify a Singapore → Malaysia → Thailand itinerary or a Japan → South Korea route. Do not assume a plan includes Cambodia, Laos or India; they are not on this product's list.
When to compare individual plans
If you stay in one destination, compare its standalone plans against the regional option. Check exact network access, total cost, fair-use limits and service timing. A destination-specific plan is not automatically faster or better value. Different EasyTripGo products can also have different Unlimited policies, so compare the rules attached to the plan you will actually buy.
Compare the whole-trip price
As a reference, 10GB / 15 Days was $14.91 USD and 20GB / 15 Days was $26.73 when checked on September 2, 2026. Compare current prices with the sum of the separate plans you would need, or the extra roaming charge across every travel day. Included home-carrier roaming may have little or no extra cost; do not assume an eSIM must be cheaper.
Do not overlook data rules
The regional Unlimited option provides 1GB high-speed per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps. Hotspot is supported and shares usage. Fixed plans instead provide a total pool for the selected period. Neither structure is automatically best for large uploads or work calls; consider how much of your trip will have reliable Wi-Fi.
Hong Kong and Taiwan: KYC Depends on Your Product
For the 12-destination Asia eSIM, use in Hong Kong and Taiwan requires KYC identity verification, including uploading passport information. The 28-destination Asia eSIM does not require KYC for Hong Kong or Taiwan. Follow the verification instructions supplied for your order before relying on connectivity in these destinations. If you cannot find the process, contact EasyTripGo support. Do not assume scanning the eSIM QR code completes KYC, or that verification for one destination automatically covers another. Processing time and any additional steps should be checked in your order instructions.
Upload passport information only through the designated verification process. Never post passport images, QR codes or ICCIDs in public comments. If a message or upload link seems unexpected, verify it with support before submitting documents.
Installation and home-line charges
Activate this regional product within 90 days of purchase. Its selected duration starts on installation, so do not install far ahead of travel. On a compatible dual-SIM phone, keep the travel line selected for data, disable unwanted home-line roaming and check automatic data-switching settings. A second eSIM does not cancel your home contract or prevent every possible call or SMS charge.

Can this plan replace a local number?
No. It does not include a number or SMS allowance.
