Shared destinations: Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Additional destinations on the 28-destination list: Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Georgia, India, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Singapore is only on the 12-destination list among these two products.

The no-KYC statement above applies specifically to Hong Kong and Taiwan on the 28-destination product. It is not a blanket statement about every destination or every eSIM. Do not transfer the 12-destination product's network list, Unlimited limits, activation window, hotspot rules or installation timing to the 28-destination product; confirm the selected product's terms with support where not stated.

Select the product before following setup instructions

The 12-destination product requires passport-based KYC for Hong Kong and Taiwan. The 28-destination product does not require KYC for these two destinations. Follow the instructions delivered with the product you bought. The installation-start, 90-day activation window and hotspot details below describe the confirmed 12-destination product rules; they should not be assumed for the 28-destination option.

Scope of the detailed examples below: The existing plan examples, prices, network table and service rules describe the 12-destination product unless explicitly labelled otherwise. Use the comparison above for the confirmed coverage and Hong Kong/Taiwan KYC differences.

Plan your Asia eSIM setup in two parts: installing the profile and completing any required identity verification. They are not the same step. For the 12-destination product, installation begins the service duration and Hong Kong and Taiwan require passport-based KYC. The 28-destination product has no KYC requirement for these two destinations; follow its own delivered setup instructions.

Before you install

  • Check your exact device model and regional version for eSIM support, and confirm it is carrier-unlocked.
  • Compare every stop with the product's destination list.
  • Keep the delivered setup instructions and an existing internet connection available.
  • Check the KYC process early if your route includes Hong Kong or Taiwan; ask support how to coordinate verification with installation timing.
  • Install close to when service is needed. The 90-day activation window is not 90 days of usage.

Hong Kong and Taiwan: KYC Depends on Your Product

For the 12-destination Asia eSIM, use in Hong Kong and Taiwan requires KYC identity verification, including uploading passport information. The 28-destination Asia eSIM does not require KYC for Hong Kong or Taiwan. Follow the verification instructions supplied for your order before relying on connectivity in these destinations. If you cannot find the process, contact EasyTripGo support. Do not assume scanning the eSIM QR code completes KYC, or that verification for one destination automatically covers another. Processing time and any additional steps should be checked in your order instructions.

Upload passport information only through the designated verification process. Never post passport images, QR codes or ICCIDs in public comments. If a message or upload link seems unexpected, verify it with support before submitting documents.

Install using the supplied instructions

Use the QR-code or manual setup details delivered for your order. For iPhone setup methods, see Apple's eSIM installation guidance. Android settings vary by manufacturer. Label the profile clearly, such as Asia Travel, and follow the provider's settings for data roaming and APN configuration. Do not guess settings or copy them from a different product.

Select the travel line for mobile data

Select the Asia eSIM as the data line when ready to use it. Disable unwanted data roaming on your home line and automatic data switching where available. Keeping your home number active can still involve carrier charges. The Asia eSIM itself is data only, with no telephone number or SMS allowance.

Share your connection with hotspot

Confirm that the phone can browse using the eSIM, then enable hotspot or tethering and protect it with a strong password. Compatible laptops, tablets and phones can use the shared connection. With a fixed plan, their traffic uses the same total pool. With Unlimited, it counts toward the same 1GB daily high-speed allowance, followed by data at up to 5Mbps.

Pause laptop updates, cloud synchronization and photo backups if you want to preserve the high-speed allowance. A hotspot does not improve the phone's reception or create a separate data package. Turn it off when unused to reduce battery drain and background traffic.

After arrival in another destination

Keep the existing regional profile rather than installing a new one for every stop. Allow the phone time to connect to a supported local network. Confirm KYC requirements have been completed where needed. Crossing a border does not restart the duration or provide a new fixed data pool.

If installation or data access fails

Check the selected data line, the delivered instructions and whether the plan has expired. Try restarting or briefly toggling airplane mode. Contact support before deleting the profile: the QR code may not be reusable, and replacement may require assistance. Do not post screenshots containing passport information, QR codes or ICCIDs publicly.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install before departure?

Yes, but installation starts the clock. Include the time before arrival when choosing your plan duration.

Does scanning the QR code complete passport verification?

For the 12-destination product, scanning the QR code does not complete the separate KYC process for Hong Kong and Taiwan. The 28-destination product does not require KYC for these two destinations.

Can I transfer the eSIM to another phone?

Do not assume transfer or QR reuse is supported. Ask support before changing devices or deleting the installed profile.

The 12-destination product includes Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Confirm the current product list before travelling.
