Menus differ by phone and software version. Follow the instructions delivered with the order when they differ from this general guide.
Before installation
- Confirm eSIM compatibility and carrier-unlocked status.
- Connect to reliable internet.
- Open the QR code on another screen.
- Choose when the plan should begin.
General steps
- Open mobile or cellular settings.
- Choose Add eSIM.
- Scan the QR code or enter details manually.
- Label it “UAE eSIM.”
- Select it for mobile data.
- Apply the supplied roaming and APN instructions.
Do not delete the profile if it fails to connect immediately. Many QR codes are intended for one installation.
After arrival
Turn on the UAE eSIM and choose it as the data line. Disable mobile-data switching so the phone cannot fall back to the home line. Roaming may need to be enabled on the travel eSIM; keep it disabled on your primary line unless your carrier includes UAE roaming.
Using hotspot
- Confirm data works on the phone.
- Open Personal Hotspot or Tethering.
- Create a secure password.
- Connect the second device.
- Monitor use.
The UAE eSIM supports hotspot. Shared devices use the same allowance and Fair Usage Policy.
Unlimited plan behaviour
The Unlimited option includes 1GB of high-speed data per day, then continued data at up to 5Mbps. The high-speed allowance resets daily. Laptop updates and cloud sync can consume it quickly.
If it does not connect
- Verify the correct eSIM is enabled and selected.
- Toggle airplane mode.
- Check roaming on the travel line.
- Check the APN exactly.
- Restart the phone.
- Use automatic network selection.
- Test outdoors or elsewhere.
