Fixed data: one allowance for the trip
A fixed-data plan provides the selected total amount during its validity period. It does not reset every morning. This structure can suit uneven usage: light messaging on hotel days and more browsing or navigation on excursion days. Do not assume fixed-data options continue at a reduced speed after the total is used.
Daily Unlimited: understand the high-speed limit
Unlimited includes 1GB of high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps. The high-speed quota resets daily, but the exact reset time is not specified here. Actual performance can be lower because of signal conditions, your device or congestion. Unlimited describes the allowance structure, not a guaranteed speed.
Three holiday-use scenarios
Seven days with mostly hotel Wi-Fi: compare fixed data first if you mainly need maps, messages and occasional reservation checks outside your accommodation. Keep automatic photo backups on Wi-Fi. Whether 5GB or 10GB is enough depends on your actual habits, not simply the number of excursions.
Ten days with frequent island outings: consider how much media you upload while away from the hotel. A larger total allowance may suit concentrated use on a few days. Daily Unlimited may be more appealing if continued reduced-speed access matters more than having a flexible total high-speed allowance.
Fifteen days with shared devices: include the laptop or second phone in your estimate. Hotspot is supported, but all devices share the same allowance. Software updates, cloud sync and video can use substantial data without much active browsing.
Do not confuse more data with better coverage
EMTEL is the listed network. Buying Unlimited or a larger fixed allowance does not extend its geographic reach or guarantee reception on a boat, mountain trail or at a specific hotel. Download important addresses and meeting points whichever option you select.
Count validity from installation
Install within 90 days of purchase. Your chosen duration begins when the profile is installed, including if you install before departure. Choose a start time that preserves enough days for the end of your holiday. Waiting to turn on mobile data does not postpone the start.
