A travel eSIM normally works only when the profile and mobile-data settings are configured correctly. Install the EasyTripGo Japan & South Korea eSIM with stable Wi-Fi before or during the trip, then select it for data when ready. The names of menus differ slightly between iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel and other Android devices, but the main settings remain similar.
Check the phone before installation
Confirm that the device supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Open cellular or SIM settings, choose the option to add an eSIM, and scan the supplied QR code. If the QR code is displayed on the same phone, open it on another screen or use manual installation details when provided. Label the new profile EasyTripGo or Japan–Korea. Do not delete it after installation, because many QR codes are single-use.
Select the travel eSIM for data
Enable the new line and choose it as the mobile-data SIM. Turn on data roaming for the travel eSIM, since it connects through partner networks. Disable data roaming on the home line and consider turning off automatic mobile-data switching, which can otherwise move data back to the wrong SIM. Calls and texts on the home number depend on the home carrier and may incur charges.
Troubleshoot registration and data
The partner networks are KDDI au and SoftBank in Japan, plus SK Telecom and LG U+ in South Korea. Begin with automatic network selection. If data does not start, confirm the selected data line, toggle airplane mode for about 30 seconds, restart the device and check any APN instructions included with the order. Use hotspot carefully
Hotspot availability depends on the selected plan, phone and network conditions. When supported, create a secure password before connecting a laptop or second device.
