India eSIM for 7, 10 or 15 Days: Fixed Data vs Unlimited

Phone and notebook on an Indian heritage-style hotel terrace

The right India eSIM depends on how you use data, not just how long you stay. A traveller who uploads several videos on one day may prefer a different allowance structure from someone who wants modest access every day. Compare total data, daily limits and installation timing together.

Duration 10GB total 20GB total Daily Unlimited
7 days US$14.86 US$26.94 US$33.26
10 days US$15.36 US$27.88 US$47.26
15 days US$15.82 US$28.84 US$70.60

Understand the two allowance structures

Fixed data: the selected gigabytes are your total allowance during the validity period, not a fresh allowance each day. Do not assume a fixed plan includes the Unlimited plan's reduced-speed continuation after that total is used.

Daily Unlimited: 1GB of high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps. The high-speed allowance resets daily. The exact reset hour is not specified here. Actual performance can be lower than the speed limit because of local reception or congestion.

Seven days: city sightseeing with Wi-Fi breaks

If your phone is mainly used for maps, messages and booking checks, compare a fixed-data option first. Download maps before leaving your accommodation and stop automatic cloud photo uploads over mobile data. In the price examples above, 10GB total costs less than daily Unlimited, although only your own usage can determine whether it is enough.

Ten days: several destinations and uneven use

Changing hotels can create busy data days: checking transfers, sharing photos and downloading the next part of your itinerary. A larger total allowance may suit uneven use better than a daily high-speed allocation. Conversely, someone who values continued access after using the day's high-speed allowance may prefer Unlimited.

Think about your largest tasks. A total allowance and a daily allowance are not interchangeable, even if dividing the total by your trip length produces a similar average. Your phone's recent usage history is a better starting point than assuming every traveller uses the same amount.

Fifteen days: include every connected device

Hotspot is supported, but a laptop or second phone uses the same allowance. Updates and cloud backups may consume data while you are not actively browsing. Unlimited is not a promise of unrestricted high-speed laptop work: the daily 1GB threshold still applies, and connected devices share the available connection.

Do not lose days through early installation

Install within 90 days of purchase. Your selected duration begins when you install the profile, not when you arrive or start browsing in India. Installing before departure is possible, but include that elapsed time when choosing the validity period.

All the options discussed are data only, without a telephone number or traditional calls and SMS. Jio and Airtel are listed networks; buying a larger allowance does not improve the geographic reach of coverage. Keep important addresses available offline whichever plan you choose.
