Second, 30GB provides more room for activities such as social media, photo uploads and occasional hotspot use without requiring you to manage your allowance as closely as a smaller plan.

Spread evenly across 15 days, 30GB is equivalent to approximately:

2GB per day

You do not actually receive a separate 2GB daily allowance—the 30GB is a total data pool for the selected plan period. The 2GB figure is simply a way to understand the overall allowance.

This makes 30GB particularly suitable for travellers who want a larger fixed-data pool without moving to an Unlimited plan.

When Does 50GB Make Sense?

50GB is better suited to heavier data users.

Consider it if you expect to:

The Fair Usage Policy is:

1GB high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps.

The important part is the daily threshold.

You receive 1GB of high-speed data each day. After that daily amount is used, data continues at up to 5Mbps for the remainder of that daily period.

Therefore, Unlimited Basic should not be interpreted as unlimited full-speed data.

It may suit travellers who prefer continued data access after reaching their daily high-speed allowance rather than managing one fixed data pool for the entire trip.

What About Unlimited Premium?

Unlimited Premium also provides:

1GB high-speed data per day.

After that daily allowance is used, you continue with unlimited data at up to:

10Mbps

Therefore:

Unlimited Basic: 1GB high-speed/day → unlimited up to 5Mbps
Unlimited Premium: 1GB high-speed/day → unlimited up to 10Mbps

Premium does not provide more daily high-speed data than Basic.

30GB vs Unlimited for 15 Days

This is an important comparison.

With the 30GB fixed-data plan, you receive one 30GB pool to use during the selected 15-day period.

That means your usage can vary considerably from day to day.

For example, you could use relatively little data on a museum day and much more data on a road-trip or travel day.

Unlimited Basic and Premium work differently because the high-speed portion resets around a daily allowance.
