Quick answer
Install the Americas and Caribbean eSIM on stable Wi-Fi, keep it on the original phone, select it for mobile data and enable Data Roaming after arrival if instructed. Hotspot is allowed, but every connected device shares the same data allowance and fair-use limit.
Before installation
- Confirm the exact phone model and regional version support eSIM.
- Make sure the device is carrier-unlocked.
- Connect to reliable Wi-Fi.
- Keep the QR email open on another screen or printed securely.
- Verify every destination is included on the current product coverage list.
The service period begins when installation completes. Install close enough to departure that your selected 3–30-day duration covers the final day. Turning the line off does not pause it. Installation is normally required within 90 days of purchase, but the delivery email is the final instruction.
Install the regional eSIM
On iPhone
- Open Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Tap Add eSIM, then Use QR Code.
- Scan the EasyTripGo QR code and complete the prompts.
- Label the line “EasyTripGo Americas.”
On Android
- Open Settings and find SIM Manager, Connections or Network & internet.
- Choose Add eSIM or Download a SIM.
- Scan the QR code and approve installation.
- Give the profile a clear label.
Menu names vary by brand and system version. Do not share the QR code, scan it on the wrong device or delete the profile after an installation warning. Contact support first.
Connect after arrival
- Turn on the EasyTripGo line.
- Select it as the mobile-data SIM. On a dual-SIM phone, make sure the home SIM is not still selected for data.
- Enable Data Roaming for the EasyTripGo line if instructed.
- Keep automatic network selection on initially.
- Turn Wi-Fi off temporarily and test a webpage.
- If necessary, use Airplane Mode for 15–30 seconds or restart the phone.
The supported partner changes by destination. After a border crossing or ferry arrival, allow several minutes for registration. Manual network selection can help if automatic selection fails.
Use hotspot without wasting data
On iPhone, open Settings > Personal Hotspot. On Android, search Settings for Hotspot, Tethering or Mobile Hotspot. Use a strong password and turn hotspot off when finished.
Pause laptop updates, cloud backups and automatic photo synchronization. With a fixed plan, all devices use the same total pool. Unless the selected-plan instructions state otherwise, Daily Unlimited provides 1GB high-speed data per day, then up to 5Mbps until the daily reset.
Troubleshooting checklist
| Problem | Check first |
|---|---|
| No mobile data | Correct data SIM, line enabled and roaming setting |
| Signal but no internet | Airplane Mode, restart, APN instructions and remaining data |
| No service after a border | Wait, refresh registration and try a listed partner manually |
| Hotspot device offline | Phone connection, hotspot password and available allowance |
Never delete the eSIM as the first troubleshooting step. If fixed data is exhausted, purchase a new Americas & Caribbean plan; do not assume the existing profile supports a top-up.
Frequently asked questions
Can I move the eSIM to another phone?
Do not assume it is transferable. Contact support before changing devices or deleting the profile.
Can my home SIM stay enabled?
Yes on supported dual-SIM devices, but select EasyTripGo for data and disable home-carrier roaming to avoid unexpected charges.
Does the plan include a phone number?
No. It is data-only, but internet calling and messaging apps can use the connection.
