When Does a Daily eSIM Data Allowance Reset?

How to check when a daily travel eSIM data allowance resets

A daily eSIM allowance does not always reset at midnight in your current location. The reset rule depends on the specific plan and network. It may follow a network time zone, a calendar-day rule, or a period measured from activation.

Check the plan wording

Review the product page and delivery instructions for terms such as daily data, 24 hours, calendar day, or Fair Use Policy. These terms are not interchangeable.

  • A calendar-day allowance may follow the network's designated time zone.
  • A rolling period may be linked to the first connection or activation time.
  • An unlimited plan may restore high-speed data after its stated FUP reset.
  • The total plan validity and the daily allowance are separate limits.

Why the speed can remain reduced

If you reached the daily high-speed allowance, the plan may continue at a reduced speed until the next reset. The phone may also need time to refresh its data session after the network resets the allowance.

  1. Wait until the reset time stated for the plan.
  2. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off.
  3. Confirm EasyTripGo is still selected for mobile data.
  4. Check that data roaming remains enabled.
  5. Test again with Wi-Fi switched off.

Do not delete the eSIM

Deleting the profile does not reset a daily allowance or restore high-speed data. It can also make the profile impossible to reinstall. If the plan's total data or validity has ended, purchase a new plan.

If you are unsure about the reset time

Use the data-usage link in your delivery email and compare the plan description. Our FUP and slow-speed guide and validity start guide explain the related limits.
