You can use a travel eSIM during an airport layover only if the transit country is included in your plan's coverage. A regional plan may cover several countries, while a single-country plan normally works only at its named destination.
Check coverage before departure
Open the product description or delivery information and review the full country list. Do not assume that a nearby country or a transit airport is included. If the transit country is not covered, use airport Wi-Fi and wait until you reach a covered destination.
How to connect after landing
- Follow airport and airline instructions, then turn Airplane Mode off when permitted.
- Make sure the EasyTripGo eSIM line is enabled.
- Select EasyTripGo as the mobile data SIM.
- Enable data roaming for the travel eSIM.
- Leave network selection on Automatic for a few minutes.
- If it does not connect, choose a supported partner network manually.
The network name may be different from EasyTripGo because the eSIM uses local partner operators.
Will a layover start the plan validity?
Activation rules vary by plan. Some plans begin when the eSIM first connects to a supported destination network, while others follow a different rule stated on the product page or delivery email. If you cross into another country
A regional eSIM may need a few minutes to register with a new partner after crossing a border. Toggle Airplane Mode for 30 seconds and recheck roaming if needed. See our border-crossing connection guide.
