Carrier settings contain mobile-network configuration used by the phone. An available update can improve compatibility or resolve connection issues after adding an eSIM or updating the operating system.
Check carrier settings on iPhone
- Connect iPhone to Wi-Fi or a working cellular connection.
- Open Settings > General > About.
- Wait on the About screen for up to 30 seconds.
- If an update prompt appears, choose Update or OK.
You can view the current carrier version next to Carrier in the eSIM section. Apple notes that adding a new eSIM can require new carrier settings.
Check updates on Google Pixel
- Connect to Wi-Fi.
- Open Settings > System > Software updates.
- Check for system updates and Google Play system updates.
- Install available official updates and restart the phone.
Check updates on Samsung Galaxy
- Connect to Wi-Fi.
- Open Settings > Software update.
- Tap Download and install.
- Restart after installation finishes.
Android phones do not always display a separate carrier-settings button. Network configuration can arrive through system updates, carrier services or the installed eSIM profile.
After the update
- Confirm EasyTripGo is still turned on.
- Select it for mobile data.
- Enable data roaming on the EasyTripGo line.
- Check APN and network selection if internet is still unavailable.
Safety reminder
Install only updates offered through the phone’s official Settings app or manufacturer software. Do not install unknown configuration files sent through public messages.
