Why Does My Travel eSIM Show No Phone Number?

Why a data-only travel eSIM may show no phone number

If your EasyTripGo eSIM shows No Number, Unknown or a blank phone-number field, this is usually normal for a data-only travel plan.

Why no number is displayed

A data-only eSIM provides mobile internet but does not include a regular telephone number for voice calls or SMS. The settings page may therefore show no number even when the profile is correctly installed and connected.

How to confirm that the eSIM is working

  1. Make sure the EasyTripGo eSIM is turned on.
  2. Select it as the mobile-data line.
  3. Enable data roaming on the EasyTripGo line.
  4. Turn Wi-Fi off and open a website.

The signal indicator, network name and ability to browse are more useful than the phone-number field when checking a data-only plan.

Calls, SMS and verification codes

A data-only EasyTripGo eSIM cannot make regular carrier calls or send carrier SMS. If you need calls, texts or OTP codes, keep your primary SIM enabled for those services. Your home carrier may charge for roaming calls or messages, so check its terms and keep mobile-data roaming off on the home line.

WhatsApp and internet calling

WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram and similar apps can use the EasyTripGo data connection. You normally do not need to change your WhatsApp account number just because you installed a travel eSIM. Read how to keep your WhatsApp number.

When a blank number may indicate another issue

If the eSIM also shows No Service and no website loads, the problem is not the missing number. Check the data SIM, roaming, APN and supported network settings instead.
