Most travel eSIMs use roaming agreements to connect to a local partner network. For this reason, data roaming usually needs to be turned on for the EasyTripGo eSIM.
Avoid unexpected charges: Enable roaming only on the EasyTripGo eSIM. Keep data roaming off on your primary SIM unless your home carrier confirms it is included.
Enable roaming on iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Select the EasyTripGo eSIM.
- Tap Cellular Data Options.
- Turn on Data Roaming.
Enable roaming on Android
- Open Settings.
- Open Connections, Network & Internet or Mobile Networks.
- Select the EasyTripGo eSIM or SIM 2.
- Turn on Data Roaming.
Some Xiaomi phones also show per-app roaming permissions. Make sure the applications you need are allowed to use roaming data.
After enabling roaming
Confirm the EasyTripGo eSIM is selected for mobile data. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds and then off. Allow a few minutes for the phone to register on a local network.
