4G or 5G Icon Showing but No Internet? eSIM Checklist

How to troubleshoot a 4G or 5G signal icon with no internet

Your phone can show 4G, LTE or 5G even when mobile internet is not available. The icon shows that the line sees or has registered with a network; other settings and plan status still determine whether data works.

Test mobile data correctly

  1. Turn Wi-Fi off completely.
  2. Confirm mobile data is on.
  3. Open two ordinary websites in a browser.
  4. Check whether all apps fail or only one service is affected.

Verify the data SIM

Open the Dual SIM settings and confirm that EasyTripGo—not SIM 1 or your home line—is selected for mobile data. Turn off automatic data switching.

Check roaming and APN

  • Enable data roaming on the EasyTripGo eSIM.
  • Keep roaming off on the home SIM.
  • Use the exact APN from your delivery instructions.
  • Restart the phone after saving a new APN.

Check data allowance and validity

Open the data-check link in your EasyTripGo email and enter the requested ICCID. If the plan has ended or has no data remaining, purchase a new plan. The network icon may remain visible even after service ends.

Check VPN and app restrictions

Temporarily disable VPN, proxy, Private DNS and data-saving restrictions. If websites work but only one app fails, the issue is probably specific to that app.

Refresh the connection

Turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds, turn it off and restart the phone. If necessary, try a supported partner network manually.
