How to Install a Palau eSIM and Share Data by Hotspot

Unbranded phone and laptop in a bright Palau-inspired guesthouse

Install your EasyTripGo Palau eSIM using a reliable internet connection and a compatible, carrier-unlocked phone. The key timing rule is simple: the plan starts at installation. You can install before departure, but those predeparture hours or days count toward the selected duration.

Before you scan the QR code

Check that your exact phone model supports eSIM and is not carrier locked. Keep the order email and installation instructions accessible on another screen or through the installation method supported by your device. A working Wi-Fi or mobile internet connection is needed to download the profile.

You must install within 90 days of purchase. That installation window is not 90 days of travel data. A 7-day package, for example, has its selected 7-day duration starting at installation.

Install and select your data line

  1. Open your phone's mobile-network settings and choose the option to add an eSIM.
  2. Use the QR code or installation method supplied with your order.
  3. Give the new line a clear label, such as “Palau travel.”
  4. When ready to use it in Palau, select it as the mobile-data line and follow the roaming and network settings in the supplied instructions.
  5. Check that your home line is not being used for mobile data automatically.

Settings vary by device. Follow your order's instructions rather than entering an APN found in an unrelated online guide. Your home carrier can still charge for services used on the home line; using a travel eSIM does not automatically disable those services.

Test on land before heading out

At a location with coverage, briefly disable Wi-Fi and try opening a simple web page. The product lists PMCI Palau; coverage is generally stronger around Koror and other populated areas, with possible gaps on remote islands and at sea.

If data does not work, check that the travel line is enabled and selected, follow the supplied settings, and confirm the plan has not expired or exhausted a fixed allowance. Do not delete the eSIM as a first troubleshooting step. Contact support before removing it.

Share the connection by hotspot

After mobile data is working, enable your phone's hotspot or tethering feature, set a password and connect the other device. Hotspot is supported, but it depends on the phone's own usable signal and consumes the same plan allowance.

Daily Unlimited provides 1GB high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps, with a daily reset. A connected laptop does not receive a separate high-speed allowance. Pause software updates, cloud backups and large downloads when managing shared data.

Messaging and support

This is a data-only eSIM: no phone number, traditional calls or SMS are included. Internet messaging apps can use the connection, but any account verification requiring a number must be handled separately. Check important app access before travel.

If you need help, contact EasyTripGo support on WhatsApp at +62 81190057586 using an available connection. Share your order reference and a description of the issue; do not post your QR code publicly. Keep offline copies of excursion and hotel details so setup problems do not leave your itinerary inaccessible.
