You can test an EasyTripGo eSIM without letting your primary SIM use data. The safest method is to control both lines before turning Wi-Fi off. Perform the full test only after arriving inside the plan's coverage area.
Protect the primary SIM first
Open the primary or home SIM settings and switch off data roaming. If your phone allows it, also disable mobile data for that line. See our guide to avoiding home-carrier roaming charges.
Select EasyTripGo for mobile data
Choose the EasyTripGo eSIM as the only mobile-data line and disable Allow Cellular Data Switching or the Android equivalent. Follow how to prevent automatic data switching.
Enable the travel line correctly
Make sure EasyTripGo is on and data roaming is enabled for that eSIM. Wait for 4G, LTE or 5G to appear. If you are not yet in the destination, the plan may have no compatible local partner, so a complete test may not be possible.
Turn off Wi-Fi and run a small test
Disable Wi-Fi briefly, then open one lightweight webpage. Avoid video streaming or app updates during the test. If it works, reconnect to Wi-Fi. If not, use the no-internet troubleshooting guide and keep the eSIM installed.
