eSIM Installed but No Internet? Complete Troubleshooting Guide

eSIM installed but no internet troubleshooting steps

If your eSIM appears in your phone settings but mobile data does not work, the profile may already be installed correctly. A data-line, roaming, APN or network-selection setting is usually responsible.

Important: Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting. Many eSIM profiles cannot be installed again after deletion.

Quick troubleshooting checklist

  1. Confirm that you have arrived in a country covered by your plan.
  2. Switch on the EasyTripGo eSIM.
  3. Select it as the SIM used for mobile data.
  4. Enable data roaming for the eSIM.
  5. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds and then off.
  6. Restart the phone.

Select the correct mobile data line

Dual-SIM phones may continue using the primary SIM after an eSIM is installed. Open Cellular, SIM Manager or Mobile Networks and select the EasyTripGo eSIM for mobile data. See our data SIM selection guide.

Enable data roaming

Travel eSIMs connect through partner networks, so data roaming normally needs to be enabled on the EasyTripGo eSIM line. Follow the data roaming guide.

Check APN and network selection

If the eSIM has signal but no internet, compare the APN with the information supplied in your eSIM email. If automatic network selection does not connect, choose one of the supported networks manually. Do not guess an APN or select an unsupported carrier.
