A routine screen or battery replacement does not normally require changing the device's main logic board, so the eSIM may remain installed. However, repair procedures vary and the phone may still be reset or exchanged.
Ask the repair center before service
Confirm whether the job includes a factory reset, logic-board replacement or replacement device. Tell the technician that the phone contains an active travel eSIM and ask whether it can remain installed.
Back up and record the profile
Save personal data, the EasyTripGo order email and the eSIM ICCID. Do not depend on the backup alone to restore the profile. See how to record eSIM and device identifiers.
Do not remove the profile unnecessarily
Turning a line off is different from deleting it. If the repair center only needs radios disabled, turn the profile off without removing it. Follow how to disable and re-enable an eSIM safely.
Test after the repair
Confirm the EasyTripGo line is visible, selected for mobile data and has data roaming enabled. Restart the phone and test a webpage. If the repair erased the profile, do not assume the original QR code can be reused; follow the deleted eSIM guide.
