Cellular Plan Cannot Be Added on iPhone? How to Fix It

Troubleshooting an iPhone Cellular Plan Cannot Be Added error

The message Cellular Plan Cannot Be Added can appear when the iPhone cannot download or accept an eSIM profile. Common causes include an unstable internet connection, an unsupported or carrier-locked phone, a profile that is already installed, too many stored profiles, or an activation code that has already been used.

Check whether the eSIM is already installed

Open Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data and review every listed line. Look for EasyTripGo, Travel, Secondary, Business, or a partner carrier name. If a new profile appears, stop scanning. Repeated scans will not improve an installed profile.

Prepare the iPhone

  • Connect to reliable Wi-Fi or a stable hotspot.
  • Turn off VPN temporarily.
  • Restart the iPhone.
  • Install available iOS and carrier settings updates.
  • Confirm No SIM restrictions appears under Carrier Lock in Settings → General → About.
  • Confirm the exact iPhone model and regional version support eSIM.

Try one installation method

Scan the QR code once. If the QR is displayed on the same iPhone, tap and hold it on supported iOS versions or use the supplied manual details. Follow our same-phone QR guide or manual installation guide.

If the error continues

Do not delete an existing eSIM and do not keep rescanning. Save the complete error message and send your order number, phone model, iOS version, EID, and SIM-list screenshot to support. After checking the profile status, EasyTripGo can advise whether a replacement QR code is available.
