The EasyTripGo French Polynesia eSIM uses the Onati network and supports 4G, 3G and LTE where available. Coverage is not identical across the islands, and local terrain, distance from a tower, buildings, weather and network demand can all affect the signal. A coverage map is a planning aid rather than a guarantee of service at a specific beach, hotel room or hiking route.

Tahiti and Papeete

Tahiti contains the territory's largest population centers, including Papeete, so mobile service is generally more practical in developed and populated areas. Coverage can still weaken inside large buildings, in valleys or along less developed routes. Keep offline directions for journeys beyond the main urban areas.

Bora Bora

Travelers can generally expect the most practical service around populated areas, the main island and established resort zones. Signal on small motu, over-water locations or boat transfers may differ from service on land. Resort Wi-Fi can provide a useful backup, but its speed and reliability are outside the eSIM service.

Moorea

Coverage may be more usable around settlements, accommodation areas and the coastal route. Mountainous terrain and interior valleys can obstruct signals. Download maps and tour confirmations before hiking, boating or entering remote areas.

Remote islands and inter-island travel

French Polynesia covers a vast ocean area. Do not expect continuous service while flying or traveling by boat between islands, and do not assume every remote island has the same coverage as Tahiti. This plan is for French Polynesia only; it should not be treated as coverage for nearby countries or territories.

How to improve your connection

After arrival, select the EasyTripGo eSIM as the mobile-data line, enable data roaming on that eSIM and restart the connection with airplane mode for about 30 seconds. If automatic network selection fails, follow the network instructions in your delivery email. Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting.

Prepare before remote travel

What if coverage is unavailable?

Move outdoors or to a more populated area, toggle airplane mode and check the correct data line and roaming settings. Coverage cannot be guaranteed in every location, especially remote islands and offshore areas.
