Installing an eSIM adds the profile to your phone, but correct mobile-data settings are still required. On a Europe and Asia trip, the device must also register with a new local partner after each flight or border crossing. This checklist covers installation, data-line selection and hotspot use.

Install on stable Wi-Fi

Confirm that the phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Scan the supplied QR code while connected to reliable Wi-Fi. If the code is displayed on the same phone, open it on another screen or use manual installation details when provided. Label the profile “EasyTripGo” and never share the QR code publicly.

Select the travel eSIM for data

Use hotspot with control

If hotspot is supported by the active plan and device, first confirm that ordinary browsing works on the phone. Then enable Personal Hotspot or Mobile Hotspot, connect one device and use a strong password. Laptops may start cloud sync, updates and video playback automatically. Fix common connection problems

Wait several minutes, toggle airplane mode for 30 seconds and restart the phone. Confirm data roaming, the selected data line and automatic network selection. Hotspot availability can depend on the plan, device and local network, so treat it as a secondary step rather than the first connection test. Battery use may increase while sharing data; keep a charger or power bank available. Disconnect laptops when finished and review the phone’s usage counter. If a work session is important, download files beforehand and keep an offline copy, especially before trains, ferries or remote routes where signal may change quickly while moving between hotels, stations and unfamiliar international arrival areas.

Menu names vary across iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel and other Android devices. Look for Cellular, Mobile Service, SIM Manager or Mobile Network. Do not delete the profile while troubleshooting.
