Aruba eSIM Installation and Hotspot Guide

Install your Aruba eSIM when you are ready for its validity to begin. The plan's selected duration starts at installation. The separate 90-day window is the deadline to install after purchase, not ninety days of included service.

The EasyTripGo Aruba eSIM supports hotspot sharing and is data only, with no included phone number, traditional calls or SMS allowance. Prepare your device and order details before setup so you can connect with fewer surprises.

Before scanning the code

  • Check eSIM support for your exact phone model and regional version.
  • Confirm the phone can use another provider and is not carrier-locked.
  • Have a reliable internet connection available for installation.
  • Keep your order email, QR code and any supplied manual setup details accessible.
  • Choose a duration covering installation through your final required day.

For iPhone, Apple's international eSIM guidance explains the carrier-lock check in Settings → General → About. Do not assume that every regional version of a phone supports the same SIM features.

Add your travel eSIM

Follow the instructions in the EasyTripGo order. Apple's eSIM setup guide describes adding a provider's plan by scanning its QR code and following the onscreen prompts. Keep a second screen available if it helps with scanning. Use manual details only if supplied for your order.

Android menu paths vary by manufacturer and software version. Follow your device maker's eSIM instructions together with the order settings. Label the installed line clearly, such as “Aruba Travel,” so you can distinguish it from your home line.

Select the travel line for data

At your destination, enable the travel line and select it for mobile data. Follow the order instructions for data roaming and APN settings. If roaming is required on the travel profile, enable it on that line rather than indiscriminately on all SIMs.

Review automatic data-switching options and the home line's charges separately. Choosing travel data does not guarantee that calls or messages on your home line are free.

Set up hotspot after data works

Test mobile data on the phone first. Then open its hotspot settings, choose a strong password and connect your laptop or other device. Hotspot is supported by this plan, but the menus and device behaviour can vary.

Connected devices share the same allowance. On a fixed-data plan, their usage reduces the remaining total. On Unlimited, all devices share the daily 1GB high-speed threshold and available post-threshold speed. Pause automatic backups, app updates and unnecessary large downloads before sharing.

Unlimited is not unlimited high-speed data. It provides 1GB of high-speed data each day, followed by data at up to 5Mbps until the next daily reset. Actual performance may be lower. Check your order instructions for the reset schedule rather than assuming a local-midnight reset. Fixed-data options have a total allowance, not a daily renewal.

If the connection does not work

  1. Confirm that you are in Aruba and the installed plan is still within its validity.
  2. Check that the travel line is enabled and selected for mobile data.
  3. Review the remaining fixed allowance or Unlimited daily usage.
  4. Compare roaming and APN settings with the order instructions.
  5. Restart the phone and test phone data before testing hotspot.
  6. Contact support with your order reference, phone model, location and a description of the issue.

Do not delete the eSIM as a routine first troubleshooting step. Ask support before removing or attempting to reinstall it. See the coverage guide to distinguish local reception issues from speed-policy limits.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install before departure?

Yes, but installation starts the clock. Include the pre-departure period when choosing the duration.

Does turning the line off pause validity?

Do not assume it does. The selected duration begins at installation.

Does each connected device get its own 1GB per day?

No. Unlimited's high-speed allowance belongs to the plan and is shared across devices.
