A pilgrimage itinerary can include airports, long road transfers, hotels, crowded public areas and time-sensitive coordination. Mobile data can help, but it should not be your only copy of essential documents or meeting information. Save important addresses, booking confirmations and group contact details offline before busy travel days.
Choose between fixed data, Basic and Premium
| 7-day option | Price | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| 3GB / 7 Days | $6.80 | One fixed total allowance |
| 5GB / 7 Days | $10.30 | One fixed total allowance with more margin |
| 10GB / 7 Days | $17.56 | More flexible for heavier or uneven use |
| Unlimited Basic / 7 Days | $39.40 | 1GB high-speed daily, then unlimited at up to 5Mbps |
| Unlimited Premium / 7 Days | $47.14 | 1GB high-speed daily, then unlimited at up to 10Mbps |
Prices checked September 11, 2026 and may change. Fixed plans provide a total allowance for the selected period. Both Unlimited options have the same 1GB daily high-speed allowance; Premium changes only the maximum speed after that allowance is used. The allowance resets daily, and “up to” is not a guaranteed speed.
How much data might a pilgrim need?
Light use may include messaging, maps, ride-hailing, web searches and occasional photos. Higher use can come from video calls, social uploads, cloud backup or sharing a connection with relatives. Review your recent mobile-data history and include every hotspot device in the estimate.
For a group, one hotspot can be useful while everyone remains together. It is not a substitute for individual connections when people separate, and all devices share the same allowance and speed limit.
Coverage during Hajj and Umrah
This eSIM uses STC in Saudi Arabia, with 5G, 4G or LTE where available. Coverage can vary indoors, on highways, in mountainous or remote areas and inside large buildings. During exceptionally busy periods, congestion can affect performance even when the phone shows a strong signal.
Install at the right time
The selected service duration starts when the eSIM is installed—not on first arrival in Saudi Arabia. You may install before departure, but any travel time after installation counts. Buy in advance if useful, keep the QR code private, and install close to when you want the service clock to begin using reliable Wi-Fi or another internet connection.
After installation, select the Saudi eSIM for mobile data and follow the supplied data-roaming and APN instructions. Disable unwanted data roaming and automatic data switching on the home line. Test mobile data before leaving your internet backup.
Remember this is data-only
The product does not include a Saudi phone number, traditional voice minutes or SMS. Internet calls and messages can work over data, but services requiring a local number or standard SMS need a separate arrangement. Home-number calls and texts remain subject to the home carrier's terms.
