Why Does the eSIM APN Disappear After Restarting?

Troubleshooting an eSIM APN that disappears after restarting the phone

An APN can disappear or return to a default value after a restart, software update, network reset, or carrier-profile refresh. On some phones the APN is managed automatically and cannot be edited. If mobile data works, do not change the APN simply because the menu looks different.

Use only the APN supplied for your plan

Check the EasyTripGo delivery instructions. Enter the APN exactly as provided, including capitalization. Leave username, password, proxy, port, authentication type, and other fields blank unless the instructions give a value.

Save and select the APN

  1. Open Connections, Mobile Networks, or Network & Internet.
  2. Select the EasyTripGo eSIM before opening Access Point Names.
  3. Create or edit the APN.
  4. Use the menu to save it.
  5. Select the new APN using the radio button or checkmark.
  6. Restart and confirm it is still selected.

If it resets again

Take screenshots before and after restarting. Check whether the phone created a second default APN, whether the selected data SIM changed, or whether a device-management profile controls network settings. Do not keep creating duplicate APNs.

On iPhone, the Cellular Data Network menu may be hidden or controlled by the carrier profile. Follow our APN missing or cannot save guide.

Reconnect after correcting the APN

Confirm EasyTripGo is selected for mobile data, enable data roaming, turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, and test with Wi-Fi off. If the APN disappears again or data still fails, send the order number, phone model, screenshots, and exact APN used to official@easytripgo.com or WhatsApp. Do not delete the eSIM.
